Collaborative effort will provide innovative bioinformatics tools and training to support proteomics research Piscataway, NJ and Geneva, Switzerland- January 8, 2003 - Amersham Biosciences, the life sciences business of Amersham plc and Geneva Bioinformatics (GeneBio) SA, have announced a long term strategic collaboration to develop and distribute novel bioinformatics and training tools. This agreement unites the industry-wide proteomics experience and reputation for quality products and support of Amersham Biosciences with GeneBio's long lasting experience in the bioinformatics field, with the aim of bringing to the market the right bioinformatics tools and support enabling scientists to gain more value and efficiency from their proteomics research. Through one aspect of this collaboration, Amersham Biosciences will exclusively distribute to the scientific community GeneBio's Training Program in Bioinformatics and Proteomics.
